tvguide.com, uses 2 major settings, to get tv listings
A. By time zone (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaskan, Hawaiian)
B. By zip code and provider
All the 2 versions are supported by this siteini. But they all have to be configured differently.
So pick the one for your situation and follow the instructions.
##################################################################################################
# A. By time zone (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaskan, Hawaiian) #
##################################################################################################
This is the most simple of all.
There is already a tvguide.com_channels_byTimezone.xml file created for you, with all the available channels in it.
So you must just copy the channels you want into your WebGrab++.config.xml. Thats it.
##################################################################################################
# B. By zip code and provider #
##################################################################################################
For this configuration, we first have to create 2 additional file.
The first one, will contain all the providers you can choose, for your zip code
The second one, will contain all the channels for a specific provider
Before you start, it is best to make a copy of your original WebGrab++.config.xml and delete all the channels in it to start from
------------------------------------------------
Generate the providers list
------------------------------------------------
01. open tvguide.com.ini with a text editor (An excellent free-ware one is NotePad++)
02. locate the PROVIDER FILE CREATION part (somewhere at the bottom)
03. remove the FIRST * in all the lines between @auto_xml_provider_start and @auto_xml_provider_end
04. in the WebGrab++.config.xml file, add a dummy channel, with your zip code placed in the site_id part: eg. for zip code = 11375
<channel update="i" site="tvguide.com" site_id="11375" xmltv_id="srvID generation">srvID generation</channel>
05. run WG++ once.
06. you should get a tvguide.com.channels.xml file in the same directory as the .ini file
07. rename this file to tvguide.com.providers.xml
08. put the first * back in all the lines between @auto_xml_provider_start and @auto_xml_provider_end (=reverting step 03)
09. remove the dummy channel in you WebGrab++.config.xml file (=reverting step 04)
